What you will be doing:

· Greeting customers with a friendly, caring, and professional greeting

· Communicating effectively with team members, supervisors, and managers to achieve goals and succeed as a team

· Completing and participating in on line and on-site training and mentoring programs. ‘

· Staying current with all on-going product and service training

· Promoting and providing customers information on services, products, and pricing

· Guiding vehicles safely into designated spots in the lube shop bays

· Servicing Customer vehicles for Oil Changes, Undercoating, Preventative Maintenance, Change and Check Fluid Services and Tire Services

· Completing vehicle assessments and making customer recommendations

· Following manufacturers guidelines when recommending services

· Following Valvoline Express Care and Valet Car Wash policies, health and safety protocols, procedures, and standards of operation

· Communicating with other team members, supervisors, and quality control specialists to ensure each vehicle meets company standards.

· Ensuring all health, safety, cleaning, equipment, site maintenance, housekeeping, and work area organization standards are met

· Staying productive and checking in with site supervisors/managers and completing secondary site maintenance and seasonal duties to company standards as required

· Anticipating customer needs and going the extra mile to ensure a consistent, quality driven, best-in-class customer experience

· Working closely with the management team

The successful applicant will have a minimum of 1 year of experience working in the quick lube industry and 2 years of Management experience.

  • An Expert Lube Shop Technician who performs lube and vehicle servicing procedures with accuracy and efficiency. Who enjoys transferring knowledge and skills to others

  • An expert who can perform quality assurance checks on all services performed in the shop, including but not limited to: oil changes, wiper blade replacement, automotive fluid changes and top ups, tire services, undercoating, oil filter, air filter and cabin filter inspection and replacements.
  • Ability to plan effectively for business seasonality. Anticipating product and staffing requirements to meet the needs of the business
  • Efficient and can manage the maintenance of the lube shop and site equipment with urgency
  • Proactive and manages schedules and labour hours efficiently
  • Experienced with monthly and daily reconciliation, cash management, product ordering, and inventory management.
  • Confidence to assist the Site Manager and Lube Shop Manager and hire, train, develop and manage employees
  • Committed to always ensuring a clean and well-organized shop
  • Proactive and assists with marketing and advertising for the Lube Shop when required
  • Familiar with ISI lube software is an asset
  • Available to work weekends as required
