Site Manager · Exterior Car Wash

Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and highly organized Site Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy exterior car wash facility. This leadership role requires strong multitasking skills, a high level of customer service, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. The ideal candidate will possess solid experience in computer systems, POS operations, and employee management, as well as a mechanical understanding to troubleshoot basic car wash equipment issues.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Operations Management:

• Oversee the daily operations of the exterior car wash, ensuring efficient workflow and quality service delivery.
• Monitor customer service levels and address any customer issues or concerns promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the facility to meet operational standards.
• Ensure that all car wash equipment is functioning properly and proactively address any maintenance or mechanical issues.

2. Computer Skills & POS Management:

• Utilize computer systems and POS software to process transactions, manage sales, and track inventory.
• Ensure accuracy and efficiency in cash handling, including monitoring register transactions and managing cash drawers.
• Track daily sales, reconcile discrepancies, and prepare reports for upper management.

3. Customer Service Excellence:

• Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing customer needs and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Train staff on customer service standards, and consistently coach employees on improving customer interactions.
• Handle customer complaints or service challenges with empathy and professionalism to ensure customer satisfaction.

4. Employee Hiring, Training & Development:

• Lead recruitment efforts for new employees, including conducting interviews, hiring, and onboarding.
• Create and execute training programs to ensure all employees are well-versed in car wash operations, safety protocols, and customer service expectations.
• Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and professional development opportunities to staff, ensuring high performance and morale.

5. Health & Safety Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and health standards.
• Conduct regular safety audits and training to prevent accidents and maintain a safe environment for both employees and customers.
• Monitor the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure proper safety procedures are followed.

6. Equipment Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

• Ensure all car wash equipment is regularly maintained and operational. Identify and resolve basic mechanical issues promptly.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams or external service providers to resolve complex equipment problems.
• Keep detailed logs of equipment maintenance, repairs, and replacements.

7. Administrative Duties:

• Maintain accurate records for inventory, payroll, scheduling, and employee attendance.
• Handle opening and closing procedures, including securing the premises and managing cash deposits.
• Assist in the development of operational strategies and goals to improve performance and profitability.

Qualifications:

• Experience:
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a management role, preferably within the car wash, retail, or customer service industry.
  • Previous experience with POS systems, cash handling, and transaction management.
• Skills:
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a quick thinker, especially under pressure.
  • Ability to operate and troubleshoot car wash machinery (or a willingness to learn basic mechanical tasks).
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and employee management skills, including experience in hiring, training, and developing staff.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
• Knowledge:
  • Basic mechanical knowledge related to car wash equipment.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations, particularly in a car wash or similar environment.
• Other Requirements:
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Wage:

$24.00/Hour & average 44 hours per week 
Job Salary $46,000-$55,000 with quarterly performance bonuses
